Shelby M. rules my world. She has RADD, raging ADD, if you may. Sometimes she is kooky! Like a monkey! My name is Peter E. I like to eat bananas and chocolate covered popsicles. My favorite people are Miley Cyrus, Charlotte M., Mayze T., and Jimi Hendrix. I enjoy the color pink, because I feel that it embodies my personality. I dislike African hippos because they are too angry for my taste! Whatever. Hmmm, so I am supposed to write a sentence (and I spelled write as right, but thankfully Peter corrected himself), so this is what my sentence is about. But now I have to write another sentence, hence this pointless sentence but that’s the pointless beauty of it!. I love Jaz because she is amazing and she was the best spring fling date EVERRRRRRRRRRR. Lol sometimes I feel like there is another person in my mind, who is talking to me at all times. I just can’t concentrate! It’s so confusing! Then I tell my mom I have ADD and she laughs!!!! She is so mean. She also doesn’t let me go to group sleepovers because I’m “sassy.” WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? She is so unreasonable and I don’t understand! Hi what’s up world? This is the best Column article EVAr!!!!! So things have been great at the country school these past weeks. Sometimes, for lunch we have some decadent treats such as cookies, ice cream sandwiches and other stuff. I really enjoy classes now. No, not really, because we have 2398239823892398329832982389 projects due and then finals. *NOTE* that last thing was Ava, she is messed up dude… Also wanna hear something cool? Stinks to be you; you are a doctor deal with it.

The King’s Speech
Peter E.
Recently, The King’s Speech has amazed crowds everywhere. This fantastic film is about King George VI of England, He was born with a who stuttered and endured this challenge all his life. Although he
was not first in line to be king, he ended up replacing his brother, Edward, who abdicated. As King, George had to make many speeches to the general public especially in a time of war. His stutter made this very difficult. Although reluctant to do so, King George employed a speech therapist to help him. This movie is the story of his struggles learning to speak without a stutter. It is filled with inspiration, suspense, romance, history, and strong bonds of friendship.

New Student – Julia M.
Julia M., a new student in the eighth grade, came to NCCS this year after going to the Connecticut Friends School for sixth and seventh grades. Before moving to Wilton, Julia lived in Vermont. She likes NCCS so far and says that she "has really good friends and [she] likes [her] teachers." There have been some big changes for her because this is her first year switching classes for each subject. She‘s also enjoying the sports here, having a great time playing soccer. Besides soccer, another sport Julia practices is horseback riding. When she‘s not playing sports, she likes to hang out with her friends or teach her dog how to do special tricks. She is considering entering him into a trick competition. Julia is doing a great job making the adjustment into a new school, and we are glad to have her here.
New Student – Tighe M.
By Peter Elkind
Tighe M., a new student this year in the seventh grade, came to our school from Saxe Middle School in New Canaan. So far, he‘s been enjoying Country School very much, and, when comparing it to Saxe, says, "it‘s a lot smaller and the food‘s a lot better." Special thanks to the cafeteria staff. :) When asked about the adjustment, he responded, "it‘s been pretty simple because the kids are a lot nicer and they help you through it."
After a few weeks of school, he has decided that his favorite class is his language, Mandarin. He does say, however, that the different tones are difficult. Another part of NCCS Tighe particularly likes is our sports period and the way that we choose one sport for the whole season. He plays soccer and likes it because "it's a chance to meet [new kids] and bond with them." Tighe also really likes baseball which he plays outside of school. I‘m glad that I got the chance to talk to Tighe and hope that he enjoys his time at New Canaan Country School.
